So I tried the Laura Mercier one and I love it!! It does give me a naturally flawless look! When I went to ask for a sample, the Laura Mercier rep was there and she recommended I use the mineral primer underneath. I don't think it's entirely necessary but? it does give a more smoother look and it helps the mineral makeup give a heavier coverage. Anyways, thanks for the recommendation!! :)

I don't have a problem with this foundation lasting on my normal/combination skin. I've never had to use a primer for my foundation though, so I can't really comment on that. Laura Mericer does have a mineral foundation primer though if you? want to give it a shot. I haven't personally tried it, but I've heard good things about it.

Yes, I just? asked a sales associate at Sephora for a sample. They're pretty generous when it comes to giving out samples. Try it and let me know if you end up liking it :)

Oh and does it last long even without? a primer??

Hi! Just wondering, how do you get the LM sample from sephora?? Do you just ask for it or is there a sample size you can purchase? I really want to try it now that I've seen your review!

I'm pretty sure my shade is? Golden Medium. I don't use it anymore though because it's REALLY yellow. I've gotten paler since this? video and the yellow undertones don't really work for me anymore. I should probably try Medium Beige.

hi :) which shade in baremineral matte were you using? :) ?

I know some people who still use Natural Beige? but if you're considerably lighter than me I would go for the Real Sand. Real Sand would work for a true NC20. You should get samples from Sephora to test it out! xx

my face is a little lighter shade than yours... so should i buy the color "natural beige" or the color "real sand"? i'm too scared to buy? a lighter shade or a darker one for my face...

I would choose the LM too, I hear a lot of good thing about it. I think it'll be perfect for summer. ^^; I still haven't? gotten around to buying it. Thanks for reviewing it.

my 2 cents: i've tried both and i have to say while both have great coverage, i always go back to LM's product. it gives my skin a "glow" while the BM just looks... meh. bland, no glow. oh and a LOT of yellow undertones. i have light-medium skin with yellow undertones and wearing the LM in real sand, it just makes your skin so much better. :) and the brush i? use is sephora's professional brush, so soft and gives a flawless application!

I really dislike the BareMinerals one.. it accentuates dryness and tends to look more orange, I don't know why.. it just does. But I love love the LM mineral foundation. The price of LM is so much better. I like the LM packaging.. I don't twist the dial around, I only twist it enough to open maybe one or two of the holes then? I tap the product out so it doesn't go everywhere. Anyways, great review! xx

Yes...? I was quite hesitant to try the LM at first since I knew about the bismuth oxycholoride (but didn't know if it would work for me or not). I know it can make some people really itchy once they start sweating and can sometimes break them out :(. Luckily for me it doesn't. The bareMinerals one doesn't have that ingredient, so it might be worth a try! :)

Too bad the LM has bismuth oxychloride in it. Ruins the fun for? my skin and for other people's too.

I think bare minerals looks better on you. The LM looks a? little darker than the BM. Great review!
By: doseofvanity. on 10 Jun 11, 05:37:51
Yeah! Watching back on the video, I realized how healthy, even, and? bright the Laura Mercier makes the skin look. I'm sticking to her's! :)

you can try taking photos of the result.... it would show a little better the difference between the powders...? than the video camera here. anyway, thanks for the review! it was very helpful!

They're definitely different colors. The BM is more yellow and the LM is more neutral. Even? though they're different colors, they both match pretty nicely when I put them on. It just depends what kind of finish you're looking for xxLauren
By: christmas9lights. on 10 Jun 11, 00:30:16
i can see that one side is more yellow but the laura mecrier has more redness or is your? camera
By: christmas9lights. on 10 Jun 11, 00:22:10
bare mineral look like? it orange and the other one look more brown
By: DelytefulSpeaks. on 09 Jun 11, 23:17:09

By: momoviver5. on 09 Jun 11, 22:40:20
Thanks and u can? totally tell the difference lm looks so much brighter than BM It really helped alot
By: doseofvanity. on 09 Jun 11, 22:26:53
They both cover acne scars. The bareMinerals might be better if you have redness. I think the Laura Mercier has a little better coverage than the bareMinerals, but you can layer on a little more bareMinerals to get? more coverage. I just like the LM more because it makes my skin look smoother :)
