An economic boom in the 1960's in Europe meant that people had more disposable income, but taxes on engine displacement, growing fuel costs and the cost of parking (because unlike the US, most of Europeans end up having to? rent extra parking spaces!) meant that huge cars were just too much cost and a pain! Something the size of a motorbike and the same cost and tax, but with advantages of a car? Awesome. Sad that it didn't catch on. Americans are too narrow minded to take to it :(

That Blue P50 is the one Top Gear used! I? like the Trident. You can buy Peels in London!
