I am over 50 and DO NOT want to? look younger, I am very happy in my skin. It seems to be impossible to find videos for women who just want to enhance their features. Sadly, all the YT videos I have watched for women over 50 are about people who can't come to grips with reality and gravity or want to flog products. I guess my search continues.

Hi I like your tips :- ) Your skin is in good condition. I have let myself inspire by L'Occitane and bought immortelle essential oil and use it in my facial oil, made of rosehip seed oil and pomegranate seed oil. It can even be added to? the ponds cream. I'm thinking of laser treatments.

Again, thank you for sharing. You made me smile, when you said we can't walk around covering our face and my thoughts starting wandering about people wandering around exposing there butts instead of their face. Sorry about that. Also it made me think of people saying something like "your face looks like my butt".......because it? is actually a compliment.....hahaaha.....but generally people do not see it that way. I have been looking after my skin for years and its shows (but it is also? genetics too of course.) The secret for me is to keep at my routine each day and then you reap the rewards. As a person who has made products with preservative systems I am stating facts based on that knowledge, not my personal opinion, nor am I a germaphobe. My intention is to inform those who are interested in stretching their products that there are real risks in diluting a product which can lead to some hard to treat skin and eye infections, not just rashes. Something to consider if the entire family is using the diluted product? daily. I do not take offense to your opinion, take care.

why worry over the little things:P still the day something bad happens to my skin ill stop. but my skins great. iv added water to products in the past iv made my own gel shadows and used some. alcohol is a better choice for things like that. But i hope my opinion doesn offend you:) i? just oppose and to me it seems silly but i get your point. i do know some water is way worse than others. so i might be in a better water supply district. so yeah:/

Iv used distilled water in labs and really thats cool for you. But im not going to be a germaphobe nor many people who do this as well:P the day i get a rash of some kind Ill come back and let you tell me 'i told you so' :P But iv listened? to people gripe about tap water an I say don't drink it but skin wise. and using it for things, i haven seen a diff or a bad reaction. It has alot of chlorine and things that counter act, and nothing is completely bacteria free nor should it ever be

When formulating cosmetics I only use distilled water, or flower water (hydrosols). Tap water is contaminated by traveling through city pipes. I also add a preservative that will keep the product from growing bacteria or mold cultures. A preservative system becomes diluted and not? effective when the original formulation is altered or changed in any way. I would not want to take that risk. A just drawn bath does not contain the same level of contaminants & is not a serious risk.

we bath in water? she was saying the product drys out. And pretty much all liquid creme make up products have water in it:P how do you know what kinda of h2o they are putting in it??? hmm? you? dont. :P there is no way of knowing. You also would be washing your face in the same kind of water shed be adding in the bottle but really. if you left a glass of tap on the counter it wouldn just grow mold. Many people make their own makeup prods. js.

All retinoids including tretinoin or Retin A increase cell turnover, reduce the production of sebum, and increase the production of collagen in your skin making your skin thicker. The first layer of skin is? thinner due to the increased dead cell turnover. New collagen is made below the outer layer of skin. The repair process will take about the same length of time as it took to damage the skin. It is one of the few products available that actually works. Hope this helps, have patience.

You are risking the health of your skin by adding water to your cleanser. Adding water dilutes the product's preservative making it ineffective plus all tap or bottled water contains a small amount of bacteria. So you would then have a product with a small population of bacteria added to it & a compromised preservative unable to kill the pathogen. You may want to consider decanting your cleanser into a sanitized bottle with? a pump to get every drop of pure product.

Sorry I missed this comment. I say use the Genefique. The results are pretty quick then save up for the Clarisonic. I love the combination of using these two products. My skin actually looks better now? than it did 20 years ago and that says a lot! I hope this helps. xo

I'm so glad it's working for you too. I swear by this stuff. It just gets better as time goes on. Want? to really pump up your results? Get the Clarisonic and buff your face and chest each night before bed then use the Genefique... OMG. I am amazed by my skin these days. Every day it just improves more. PS. Get a silk pillowcase. I just bought a sample of the genefique and I was wondering how the clinique even better dark spot corrector works (yay or nay?). Lana, if you get a chance, try Lancome's "Visionnaire! I got a sample during their last gift event, and OMG! If you think Genifique is great, you've seen nothing yet. I only use the Visionnaire once a day (although it's recommended to use it twice a day) but my skin has responded quickly and? beautifully after only a week of use! Your skin looks lovely! I'm in my mid-thirtees and I'm sooo loving the Visionnaire, and hope that they'll keep this product in their lineup. Thank you!

You have nicer skin than me...and i am 23 :( i still have some acnee problems? and some acne scars...more like spots. I do all my best with skincare products. I use the roc microdermabrasion 2-3 times a week, and i use effaclar duo from roche possay... i have no idea what tot do. i hope i will end up with skin like yours one day..:)

You no more look 56 than Kim Catrall, Sela Ward, Geena Davs or any of those Hollywood ladies using ridiculously high end products and treatments. And you're one of us! Using drugstore products and just trying to take care? of ourselves without breaking the bank. You're gorgeous and you haven't aged recently. Try OPI Drip Dry drops. I agree... Maybelline's Dream mousse is good stuff!... Great foundation... I also like Rimmel, wetnwild & covergirl. I'm a hairstylist/make-up artist- & I'm gonna be 51 next month... Think I will follow your lead and do a "How to" vid... Heres a a lil help... USE a head band or clip to refrain the hair whilst doing your make-up & DO Foundation first... eyebrows 2nd.... after that it's easier to create the look your going? for depending on what clothing color your wearing.

Really nice, you should? try a eye pencil from Tart its really soft and stays on all day but it doesn't pull on your eyelids when you're applying it. I have a tourcoise green color and I love the way it goes on. I got it from my daughter and now I'm going to look for a couple of other colors as well because of the consistancy and the way it goes on and lasts all day. It sometimes lasts longer than my mascara.

Believe it or not Some ladies dont wash there face let alone exfoliate. Dead sea minerals is for example ( SwissaSpa) fabulous once you rub in circular motion you can see the dead skin rub right off. I exfoliate 3 times a week with that I also use Mary Kays MicroCrystal exfoliating rub ( very harsh but gets the skin clean) I switch? up my daily cleansers. If you dont mind me asking what do you moisturize with? Estee Lauder's serum ran out want to try a new one :)

OMG! I'm 15 and I tried that with toothbrush and my mom walked in? and was like ''What..in the hell..are u doing'' it was soooo funny all i could do was keep scrubbing and laugh.Now to clean out my pore i use table spoon of unflavored gelitan and milk put it in the microwave for 10 sec and put in where i need it with an old mkup brush and then when it dries i peel it off cheaper than strips but works so great and you can see all the dirt u pull off I've got the most baby butt smooth skin n Tx.
